Router for Wireguard

Hey guys!

I am looking into setting up a network for two house (one in Canada and one in EU).

My plan is to set up the network on the cloud, most likely with DigitalOcean.

My goal is to have access to both locations when I am in either of them OR access wherever I am when I access the tunnel.

I was thinking about using Wireguard with an ER-X, but wanted the advice from those with more knowledge.

I have 1Gbps in Canada, but less than 500Mbps in Europe. I hope to increase the speed in Europe in the future. For now, I do not need full rate but don't mind setting it up correctly once for all.

Think my set up is fine? And should I consider the ER-X or is there something better I can get for around the same price +/- $30?
