Tips/instructions on getting reversal ending in GS4? (Or a better place to ask?)

So I've gotten a few normal endings and a true ending and want to go for a reversal ending next, but I'm not 100% sure on how to get it. I'm trying not to use step-by-step guides but I am using mono-iki for basic information.

So it sounds like, for example, if I want to get Honda's reversal, I have to get Honda to the Arch in Marie Garden, then get someone else to overcome him in affection and enter the Arch, which will cause Honda to go meramera, then I need to keep the 'other' guy in the Arch by making sure his affection stays higher than Honda's while getting Honda's physical affection to max with skinships?

Am I correct in understanding it this way?

Also, do I have to do anything special at the ending like reject the 'other' guy's confession? Or will it trigger normally? Thanks! (Also if there's a better place to ask, lemme know! I didn't find a GS subreddit and this one is pretty small, dunno where tokimemo fans hang out ^_^)
